Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact during the 2026/2027 school year by supporting middle school students in a vibrant learning environment. A dedicated School Counselor is needed for a contract role with a full-time schedule, located near Larkspur, CO. This is an opportunity to empower young learners as they navigate crucial personal and academic milestones.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Possess an active Colorado School Counseling License Demonstrated expertise as a School Counselor or Guidance Counselor, preferably in K-12 settings Familiarity with the unique socio-emotional and academic needs of middle school students Strong communication skills for engaging students, parents, and professionals Ability to build trusting relationships and a safe counseling environment Resourceful, adaptable, and collaborative within multidisciplinary school teams
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group counseling to address student concerns, enhance coping strategies, and support emotional well-being Develop and implement programs focused on academic achievement, conflict resolution, and career exploration Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding student behavior and learning needs Collaborate closely with families, educators, and outside agencies to coordinate support services Maintain accurate records of interventions and student progress Contribute to developing a positive, inclusive school climate Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all student interactions As you make a difference in students' lives, you'll benefit from a professional setting where your expertise is valued and your role is essential.
