Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact in a supportive educational setting by providing dedicated care as a 1:1 LPN for a kindergarten student. In this contract position, you will work closely with a young learner who requires hands-on support throughout the school day. This role offers the opportunity to maximize your skills as an LPN/LVN in a nurturing school environment, helping a student access their education while receiving essential medical and physical assistance.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid LPN or LVN license Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Comfort providing one-on-one care to students with physical disabilities Familiarity with providing toileting and hygiene support Knowledge of safe mobility practices for wheelchair- and walker-bound individuals Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor Strong communication skills to collaborate with educational staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 medical and physical care to a kindergarten student throughout the school day Assist with daily toileting needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times Support safe transfers and mobility for a wheelchair and walker-bound student Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, health observations, and care provided Be attentive to student comfort, safety, and well-being during classroom activities and transitions You will play a meaningful role in enriching a student's school experience, offering the reassurance and professional expertise necessary for a safe and inclusive learning environment.
