This contract opportunity runs through early June 2026 and offers a rewarding experience, providing dedicated assistance to a third-grade student with specific medical needs. The schedule consists of 30 hours each week, Monday through Friday from 8:20 am to 3:20 pm, with built-in lunch and break times. Start and end your day accompanying the student on their school bus, either meeting at their home or a centralized transportation location. Throughout the day, you'll provide seamless support in the classroom and ensure consistent medical monitoring, including the management of an oxygen tank and assisting with safe mobility.

Key Qualifications:

Current CNA license, Certified Nurse Assistant, or relevant nursing background Previous experience supporting medically fragile students is strongly preferred Up-to-date CPR certification (highly preferred) Comfortable supporting a student throughout the school day and on school transportation Attentive to safety protocols, especially in emergencies Compassionate approach and strong communication skills with both students and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one assistance during the entire school day, attending classes alongside the student Closely monitor medical needs, particularly oxygen levels and equipment Ensure safe transfer and mobility—assistance with walker, and using a stroller in emergencies Accompany the student on the school bus at the start and end of each day Serve as a caring liaison between the student, nursing staff, teachers, and family This position offers the chance to build trusting relationships and make a genuine difference in a child's life.
