Day Contract Responsibilities:

Assure compliance with Ohio Department of Education health and safety requirements. Oversee staff health and safety professional development. Provide assistance to sick and injured students, administer first aid, investigate and document injuries. Review medical emergency authorization forms and communicate information to staff when required. Ensure all required state student health screening activities are completed. Ensure immunization status of all students complies with state law. Coordinate training for staff providing care for students with special medical needs. Maintain the clinic, requisition supplies, develop and implement procedures to ensure medicines are stored safely. Initiate referrals to community resources as needed. Help student services staff prepare plans for eligible students to ensure that services are provided in the least restrictive educational environment. Consult with parents as needed. Respect personal privacy and maintain confidentiality of privileged information.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, a current Ohio Registered Nurse License, and the ability to obtain an Ohio Pupil Services School Nurse Registration.
