Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential healthcare services in a school setting near Deatsville, AL. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated LPN who enjoys working with children and collaborating with educators and families to support student well-being and growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in Alabama Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred Current CPR/BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with students, teachers, and parents Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student health records Competence in managing chronic conditions (such as diabetes or asthma), administering medications, and responding to medical emergencies
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver daily healthcare services to students including medication administration, first aid, and monitoring of chronic or acute health conditions Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to develop and implement student health plans and address individual medical needs Conduct health screenings and assessments as required Maintain meticulous health records and document all interventions in compliance with state and federal guidelines Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics as appropriate Participate in IEP/504 meetings as required to support students with medical needs This school-based role offers a collaborative and nurturing environment where your clinical skills contribute directly to student success.
