Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will make a meaningful difference throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity, located conveniently near Cherryvale, KS, invites you to support students, educators, and families in an engaging school-centered environment. With a caseload that will be defined soon, you will have the chance to apply your specialized skills to maximize student potential in both individual and group settings.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience with school-based occupational therapy preferred Strong background in home health, school, and healthcare OT Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Flexible and adaptable approach to working with varied age groups and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional and developmental abilities within the school environment Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and interventions Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to address student needs Document progress and adjust strategies to achieve therapy goals Provide direct treatment as well as consultative services for students and staff Participate in meetings, professional development, and IEP processes as needed This contract position ensures a varied, challenging, and highly impactful daily experience.
