Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful and rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting young learners throughout the summer session. This contract position runs from July 6th through August 14th, and offers a consistent schedule of 27.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM). You'll work onsite with an elementary caseload, helping students develop essential skills for success in and out of the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow clinicians Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering student independence and participation
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students Assess students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans Document progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with best practices and district guidelines Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students' goals are integrated throughout the school environment Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning as needed Provide support and guidance for assistive devices or sensory strategies
