Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across a dynamic public school district near Willimantic, CT for the 2026-2027 academic year. This part-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, providing coverage 2-3 school days per week from August 2026 through June 2027. Your expertise will be valued districtwide, collaborating with educational teams from preschool classrooms to the 18-22 transition program. In this role, you'll primarily be needed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one additional weekday to best support the school community's needs. The ideal candidate is an Occupational Therapist with prior experience in school settings who is comfortable adapting to a variety of age groups and educational environments.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license Previous experience providing OT services in educational (school-based) settings Confidence and flexibility working with students ages preschool through young adult (18-22) Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered therapeutic approaches Ability to manage a part-time schedule on-site 2-3 days per week throughout the school year
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students' IEP goals Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, and families Document progress, maintain clear records, and participate in meetings as required Adjust interventions as needed per the evolving needs of students and programs
