Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students by providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic, year-round school setting dedicated mainly to students with autism. This contract role is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant who is enthusiastic about supporting students' growth and independence. The full-time position requires onsite presence, but candidates seeking part-time arrangements are also encouraged to apply as long as they are available for onsite work on Thursdays and Fridays. You'll collaborate closely with educators and families, utilizing your expertise to help students achieve their goals.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid certification and licensure as an OT or COTA Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued Experience or enthusiasm for working with autistic students Ability to manage K-12 caseloads Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation abilities Flexibility to work onsite and accommodate school routines
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students, focusing on individual needs Develop and implement therapy plans, collaborating with teachers and staff Document progress and adjust interventions as needed Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP processes Engage with students and families to support functional achievements Onsite interviews are required to help candidates fully understand the school's unique environment and exceptional student population before accepting the role. The initial contract is for three months, with potential for permanent placement.
