Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8 at a welcoming academy in Landenberg, PA. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences, particularly those requiring emotional and autistic support. With a manageable caseload of nine students, you'll help foster essential life and academic skills in an encouraging environment.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania Experience in school-based, healthcare, or pediatric OT settings is highly valued Comfortable working with children requiring emotional and autistic support Ready to manage a caseload that includes both weekly and monthly direct services, as well as compensatory hours Open to new graduates, though applicants must be able to work independently without supervision
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to 6 students weekly and 3 students monthly, as outlined by their IEPs Provide individualized interventions, adapting support to meet emotional and autistic needs Collaborate with educational staff and families to maximize student progress and participation Document sessions, assessments, and student progress in accordance with school and regulatory policies Flex and adapt as student schedules and service needs evolve This assignment offers the flexibility of an unknown end date, allowing you to focus on your students' progress without the pressure of a set timeline. The school day lasts 6 hours, and your weekly schedule will be determined in collaboration with the academy based on caseload needs.
