Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' growth and development as an Occupational Therapist on a full-time contract basis for the upcoming school year. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in an educational setting near Murphysboro, Illinois, spanning August 2026 to May 2027. You'll work collaboratively within the school community, supporting students' functional and academic success.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred Knowledge of IEP process and documentation standards Strong communication and organizational abilities Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and digital documentation is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs Deliver therapy services as specified in IEPs, both in-person and, where required, virtually Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal student outcomes Maintain thorough records and participate in meetings and progress reviews Provide strategies and tools to enhance students' participation in the school environment Support transitions and accommodations that foster greater independence
Position Details:
Two full-time Occupational Therapist positions, 37.5 hours per week Contract work begins in August 2026 and concludes in May 2027 Caseload details will be shared as soon as they are finalized Make a difference in students' daily lives while advancing your skills in a supportive educational environment.
