School Occupational Therapist

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active and valid OT licensure in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in school-based settings is highly preferred Solid understanding of IEP development and special education law Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities Flexibility to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions creatively

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct therapy to support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster student success in and out of the classroom Document and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams with your OT expertise Provide recommendations for accommodations, adaptive tools, and classroom modifications This rewarding contract role enables you to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking school community.
