Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students' growth and development as a skilled Occupational Therapist within a dynamic school environment. This rewarding contract opportunity offers full-time hours on an onsite basis from March 1, 2026 through June 1, 2026, with the potential to continue into the upcoming school year. You'll be part of a team dedicated to reorganizing caseloads thoughtfully to best serve students' needs across two open positions.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York State Experience providing OT services in a school-based or pediatric setting Strong communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, and families Comfortable working onsite within a multidisciplinary educational environment Commitment to fostering student progress towards IEP goals Flexibility and adaptability as caseload needs are assessed and organized Familiarity with best practices in OT documentation and reporting
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students according to their IEPs Assess student needs, document progress, and adjust treatment strategies as appropriate Collaborate with other school professionals and support staff Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families Contribute to planning and adapting caseloads for optimal student support Engage in ongoing professional development and training as needed This is the perfect opportunity for two experienced OTs who thrive in adaptable, supportive school environments and are motivated to enhance students' independence and success.
