Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Empower young learners and make a tangible difference as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting students in a dynamic pediatric clinic setting. This contract opportunity near Ferndale, CA, is ideal for professionals passionate about enhancing children's abilities within an educational environment. This full-time role offers an engaging 40-hour workweek for a 6-12 month contract, working closely with children and collaborating with educators and families. Bring your expertise and active California OT license to a thriving clinic focused on school-based therapies.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current, active California Occupational Therapy (OT) license required Experience in pediatric or school-based OT settings strongly preferred Strong ability to develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans Excellent communication and documentation skills Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services for school-aged children in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct assessments and develop evaluation reports for students requiring services Design and implement therapy interventions to promote functional and academic success Monitor, record, and report student progress, adjusting therapy as needed Consult and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with established procedures Stay current with best practices, standards, and legal requirements within the field
