Job Description

Overview This is a Full-time position for a Service Technician in the dairy industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the following: Electrical high voltage and low voltage controls, PLC's, refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, and automation. Willing to train the right candidate that has an established base knowledge in some or all of the fields listed. All technicians participate in an on-call rotation. After hours calls pay automatic double-time with minimums and commission. Techs can clock in/out from home when attending to after-hours calls. Rate of pay is DOE and incentivized via billable hour commissions. Skilled, motivated individuals have the opportunity to earn competitive wages. Occasional mandatory OT required. Upon successful completion of training, technicians will be scheduled into the on-call rotation. Once on-call, technicians receive a company truck and credit card and become eligible for hourly commission. Fully trained technicians typically average <$50/hour at year 2. Job Duties include but are not limited to Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis tools such as multimeters and proprietary diagnostic equipment. Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to ensure seamless production flow. Conduct welding, mechanical adjustments, and calibration using precision measuring instruments. Support field service operations by traveling to customer sites to install or repair machinery while providing exceptional customer service. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Collaborate with team members on safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards during all maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience in industrial mechanical/electrical work within manufacturing facilities or similar environments. Strong electrical knowledge with experience working on low voltage, high voltage systems, and industrial electrician tasks. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems. Hands-on experience with hydraulics, welding, refrigeration systems, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other analysis instruments effectively. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately. Prior experience in industrial maintenance or field service roles is highly desirable; military background is a plus. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer interactions. Valid driver's license with clean driving record and the ability to operate equipment safely. Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking; familiarity with analysis techniques for system optimization. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environments while maintaining safety standards.
