Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference this fall by bringing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity involves providing vital OT services to students, covering a leave from August 14, 2026, through October 30, 2026. You'll play an essential role in supporting students' growth, helping them overcome daily challenges, and enabling their academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Prior experience as a school-based OT preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and support staff Ability to manage a varied caseload and keep thorough documentation Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and write reports for students with a range of needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure goals are met Provide direct therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings Consult and educate staff members on appropriate accommodations and supports Maintain accurate and timely records for compliance and best practice This is your chance to join a supportive team while making a positive impact during a key time in the school year.
