Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract position as a school-based occupational therapy professional, providing crucial support for students' development and success. This part-time opportunity, beginning on May 5, 2026 and running through June 5, 2026, offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in an educational setting near Valparaiso, IN. You'll be covering services both in Valparaiso and in Portage, delivering therapeutic interventions and collaborating with educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred Ability to develop individualized and group therapy plans Strong communication and documentation skills Dedication to supporting diverse student needs Team-oriented mindset with adaptability and organizational strengths License and resume must be submitted for consideration
Core Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students across caseloads in both Valparaiso and Portage Conduct evaluations and implement individualized treatment sessions Monitor and record student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and special education teams Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and professional guidelines
