Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist working with preschool students ages 3-5 in a supportive, educational environment. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact in early childhood development, covering a maternity leave during an engaging 6-week summer program, with continued support through September and October, and a possibility for extension into November. You will work onsite with a dedicated team, providing crucial services to a caseload of 25 to 30 students, helping them achieve their physical milestones and fostering their growth and independence.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong understanding of early childhood physical development needs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Commitment to onsite attendance for the duration of the assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to preschool-aged children in line with
IEP/IFSP
requirements Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support each student's goals Conduct assessments and document progress for each student on your caseload Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of young learners Participate in planning meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student progress
