Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-based Physical Therapist, supporting early intervention programs and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children in the Roseburg and Douglas County areas. As a key member of an education-focused team, you'll primarily visit homes to deliver critical therapy services, helping children reach key developmental milestones. With a start date as soon as possible and a contract running through June 2027, you can make a long-term impact while working independently in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with credentials valid for schools in Oregon Experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric physical therapy Comfort with providing early intervention services and traveling to family homes Knowledge of best practices for supporting young children with developmental delays Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers Excellent communication and organizational skills Adaptability for consulting in early childhood special education (ECSE) settings as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers, primarily in their home environment Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' mobility and functional needs Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with program requirements Offer limited consultation to ECSE programs within the county Manage a schedule of 40 hours per week, traveling primarily within Roseburg and to other Douglas County locations as needed This is a single full-time opening, offering the chance to make a tangible, positive impact in early childhood intervention.
