Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in educational psychology to a supportive, student-centered environment. As a contract School Psychologist, you will play a key role in fostering academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success among students. This opportunity places you in a dynamic school setting, where your assessments and interventions will have a direct impact on student growth and well-being.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Active license or certification as a School Psychologist in South Carolina (or eligibility for state certification) Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and IEP processes Proficiency in conducting psycho-educational assessments and interpreting data to guide educational planning Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to consult with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic evaluations to support student learning and development Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, sharing evaluation results and making recommendations Offer direct and indirect services, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior support planning Collaborate closely with school teams and families to address academic, social, and emotional needs Assist in developing positive behavior intervention strategies and mental health prevention programs Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines This contract position provides the flexibility you need, in a region dedicated to student and staff success.
