Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a dedicated School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. This contract, full-time opportunity (35 hours per week) runs from mid-August through early June and offers the chance to support either a junior high (7th-8th grade) or an elementary (K-4) caseload. Put your expertise to work where it matters most, helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate: Licensure and credentials in School Psychology, with knowledge of Illinois educational regulations. Experience navigating special education guidelines under IDEA and ensuring compliance with state rules. Familiarity with the MTSS process, special education evaluation timelines, and effective progress monitoring. Proficiency in managing Manifestation Determinations, and scheduling and facilitating domain meetings, Evaluation/Eligibility Determination Conferences (EDCs), and Annual Reviews (ARs) efficiently. Strong working knowledge of IEPs, 504 Plans, Data Sheets, and the MTSS framework. Comfort using assessment systems such as Q-global and FastBridge, as well as digital tools like Google Docs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families. In this role, you'll: Evaluate students and support development of educational and behavioral plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate meetings, progress tracking, and interventions. Ensure timely completion of assessments, reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. Advocate for student needs and provide consultation to educators and families.
