Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' educational journeys in a flexible contract role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is open to both onsite and virtual candidates interested in providing special education evaluations and psychological services for preschool through 4th-grade students. The schedule offers 21 hours per week, offering the perfect balance for those seeking variety and manageable caseloads. While the main focus is districtwide support, the role can be adjusted to specialize in grades 1-4 if preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations for students aged preschool through grade 4. Deliver psychological services according to state and district guidelines. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff to address student needs effectively. Ensure all evaluations and documentation are completed in compliance with special education requirements and timelines. Participate in team meetings and contribute valuable insights for individualized educational planning.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree (or higher) in School Psychology. Michigan Department of Education approval/certification as a School Psychologist. Experience working in schools and familiarity with special education evaluation processes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
