Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference by supporting high school students' education and well-being in a dynamic school environment as a contract School Psychologist. This position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, with working hours from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. As an integral member of the team, you'll collaborate with educators and families to provide essential psychological services to a caseload of approximately 30 students.
Qualifications:
Current and active Illinois School Psychologist licensure is required Experience working with high school-aged students in an educational setting Ability to work onsite and engage directly with students and staff Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Effective communicator and a collaborative team player Knowledgeable in special education procedures and multi-tiered systems of support
Key Responsibilities:
Administer psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and implement student support plans Provide individual or group counseling to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Assist in eligibility determination and participate in IEP meetings as required Advocate for the well-being and academic success of every student on your caseload Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all school and state policies This is a fantastic opportunity to have a meaningful impact on students' academic journeys and personal growth.
