The job of School Psychologist is done for the purpose/s of conducting multifaceted psychological and psycho-educational evaluations of students referred according to state and federal mandates. Assessments include but are not limited to: consideration of the areas of personal social adjustments, intelligence and scholastic aptitude, adaptive behavior, language and communication skills, sensory and perceptual motor functioning, environmental cultural influences, and vocational aptitude and interest.Essential Job Functions:
Assesses personal social adjustment, intelligence and scholastic aptitude, adaptive behavior, language and communication skills, sensory and perceptual motor functioning, environmental cultural influences, and vocational aptitude and interest. for the purpose of determining multifaceted psychological and psycho-educational evaluations of students referred according to state and federal mandates. Communicates with parents, teachers and/administrators. for the purpose of educational needs and appropriate interventions for eligible students, and assists with the Individual Education Plan (IEP), as requested. Consults with community health and human services agencies: for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services and/or making recommendations. Generates psychoeducational report for the purpose of following each assessment that contains all required components, as defined by state and federal mandates. Review psychoeducational evaluation reports for the purpose of all special education transfer students and write addendums to include any missing components required by state and federal mandates. Assists in the development of District programs for the purpose of to enhance cognitive, affective, social and vocational development of all students. Assume responsibility for the purpose of continued professional growth and development through participation in appropriate professional groups and workshops. Coordinates with individual or group counseling for students for the purpose of as written into the IEP. Participates at multidisciplinary team conferences for the purpose of interpreting results of the psycho-educational evaluation, make recommendations, and assist in making Presents inservice to school personnel, parents, and others for the purpose of issues of learning, development and behavior.educational placements. Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Required (Education & Experience) Master's degree in a job related field, Psychology preferred Job related experience within School Psychology Additional Eligibility Requirements Must possess a valid Arizona School Psychologist Certificate or demonstrate the ability to obtain certification. Must maintain Certificates and/orLicenses Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Position Type & Work Schedule:
(Full-time or Part-time, normal daily hours, months per year) Full-time, 8 hours a day, Monday- Friday 194 day contract
