Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Empower students to achieve their full potential by supporting their academic, emotional, and social well-being as a school psychologist in a welcoming educational environment near Chesnee, SC. This full-time contract opportunity involves working closely with K-12 students, educators, and families to create safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments.
Key Qualifications:
Active School Psychologist licensure in South Carolina (School Psych II). Experience in conducting evaluations and assessments for diverse student populations. Expertise in working with K-12 caseloads, addressing a variety of learning and behavioral needs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student strengths and eligibility for special services. Collaborate with school teams to interpret assessment results and determine appropriate interventions or supports. Develop, monitor, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) alongside multidisciplinary teams. Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative support as needed. Advocate for students' mental health and learning needs while upholding ethical standards and confidentiality. Take part in problem-solving teams to support positive student outcomes.
