Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students and staff as a school psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Elgin, TX. This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate professional ready to foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth in young learners. Using your expertise, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and support personnel to deliver comprehensive psychological services that nurture a positive school climate.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (as required by the state) Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred Knowledge of assessment techniques, counseling interventions, and special education procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and consultation Proficiency with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and IEP processes Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative school environment Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) system is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments for students Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Consult on behavioral and academic interventions, recommending strategies and accommodations Facilitate professional development for staff related to mental health topics and best practices Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation per federal and state guidelines Discover the rewards of making a meaningful difference while collaborating with a supportive team.
