Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity impacting the lives of students as a contract School Psychologist for the upcoming school year, serving schools in the Guntown area. This flexible, as-needed role is ideal for professionals skilled in psychoeducational assessments, with the chance to work both on-site and from home. The assignment will run from August 4th, 2026, through June 30th, 2027, covering students in need of evaluations for Autism and EMD eligibilities.
What You'll Bring:
Active Mississippi teaching certification (must be in hand prior to casework) Previous experience as a School Psychologist, preferably in a school setting Knowledge of SPED Track or willingness to be trained (training provided by district psychometrist) Ability to conduct psychoeducational assessments, interpret results, and write comprehensive reports Familiarity with eligibility evaluations for Autism and EMD Strong organizational skills to manage 4-5 evaluations per school year at minimum Comfort engaging with students and staff in diverse educational settings
Your Impact & Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments as requested, focusing on re-evaluations and new eligibility cases Score assessments and deliver detailed, timely reports Coordinate with the psychometrist, who conducts most routine assessments Work at three dedicated testing sites, equipped for efficient evaluation processes Attend IEP meetings in person when possible; virtual participation available Complete all report writing remotely to best fit your schedule
