Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital summer role providing comprehensive support for students during the Extended School Year. As an adjustment counselor or school psychologist, you'll focus on the emotional and academic wellbeing of your assigned caseload, working closely with students to ensure a successful transition through the summer months.
Key Details:
Contract position for Extended School Year Monday through Friday, 8am-12pm EST 25 hours per week, from June 22-July 22
Qualifications:
Master's degree in School Counseling or School Psychology required Current Massachusetts License to practice school-based counseling or school psychology Familiarity with DESE standards (if applicable) Demonstrated experience delivering counseling services in school settings Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive environment for students
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students as assigned Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement best practices for student adjustment and success Address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the school environment Facilitate crisis intervention and develop effective coping strategies for students Maintain accurate and confidential student records, adhering to all regulatory requirements Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans as needed
