Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of young learners by bringing your expertise as a School Psychologist to an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development as part of a collaborative educational team. You'll play a crucial role in guiding intervention strategies, crisis response, and individualized education planning for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (state-specific requirements apply) Experience working in an educational environment, especially at the elementary level Strong understanding of special education processes, including IEP evaluations and services Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to contribute effectively to problem-solving and student intervention teams Skilled in data-based decision making to support diverse student populations
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and support IEP development Serve as a proactive member of the school's problem-solving and Student Intervention teams Participate actively on the Building Crisis Team, aiding in prevention and intervention efforts Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments Recommend evidence-based strategies to improve academic and behavioral outcomes Maintain documentation and reporting in line with district, state, and federal guidelines Provide direct and consultative services to students, supporting their academic and social-emotional success Perks of this
