Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated School Psychologist to make a meaningful impact supporting K-6th grade students. This full-time, in-person contract position is perfect for enthusiastic professionals passionate about fostering positive change in a dynamic educational setting. The role centers around conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments, collaborating closely with educators and support staff to help students reach their fullest potential. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that young learners receive the tailored guidance and resources they need for academic and personal success.
Ideal Background & Skills:
Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist in North Carolina Experience working with K-6th grade students strongly preferred Proficiency in performing educational assessments and writing comprehensive reports Strong communication and consultation skills for diverse school teams Ability to develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans Familiarity with special education processes and compliance requirements Compassion, adaptability, and organization in fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities:
Administer cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments Interpret data and deliver clear, actionable feedback to staff and families Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop interventions Participate in eligibility, intervention, and IEP meetings Provide guidance and recommendations to support individual student needs Support crisis intervention and proactive strategies for positive school climates This contract position offers the security of a consistent, full-time schedule and the rewarding experience of working directly with students and a collaborative team.
