Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling full-time role making a direct impact in schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services and collaborate closely with educators, students, and families in the Whitehouse, TX area. This contract position offers the opportunity to support student well-being and educational outcomes in a vibrant school community. On-site presence is preferred to foster strong relationships with staff and students.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Expertise in conducting student assessments, developing intervention plans, and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and special education processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with educators, administrators, parents, and support teams. Proven ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload in a school environment. Commitment to ethical and culturally responsive practice.Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychological evaluations and assessments of students to determine eligibility for special education and related services. Implement, monitor, and review interventions and behavior support plans. Serve as a resource for teachers and staff in addressing academic and behavioral challenges. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute insights to help shape student support strategies. Serve as an advocate for student mental health and learning needs, providing direct support where appropriate. Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines.
