Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a student's life by providing personalized nursing care during their daily commute. A dedicated and compassionate RN is needed for a contract opportunity supporting a child with specialized medical needs. You'll work a split shift, riding the school bus in the morning and afternoon, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment during transit.

North Dartmouth, MA area
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am-9:00am and 2:30pm-4:30pm Your expertise as a school-based RN or LPN/LVN will empower you to provide vital care and peace of mind to this student and their family. Your professional skills and kind-hearted approach will be pivotal for a child who is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair, and experiences seizures.
Essential Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN/LVN license in Massachusetts School-based nursing experience preferred Competency in seizure monitoring and emergency response Experience working with non-verbal and wheelchair-using students is a plus Ability to collaborate with bus drivers, aides, and school staff Clear background and health screenings, including TB and immunizations
Core Responsibilities:
Accompany the student on both morning and afternoon bus routes Monitor health status, including managing seizure activity Administer prescribed medication or interventions as required Maintain clear communication with parents, school nurses, and teachers Keep thorough documentation of care and student wellbeing Compensation for this role is $50 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills and responsibility required.
