Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers flexibility and the chance to provide vital services across elementary and middle school settings, with responsibilities spanning PreK through 12th grade. Two onsite roles are available, with immediate openings for experienced, independent professionals. What you'll bring: Active Michigan SLP license (please provide confirmation upon application) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Recent experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting Comfort and skill in delivering all required services independently, including evaluations, therapy, and IEP documentation Flexibility to serve students across various grade levels, adapting intervention and communication styles as appropriate What you'll do: Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to students in line with IEP goals Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and track progress Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes Maintain accurate and timely records, reporting, and document compliance in accordance with district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued team member in the educational process What makes this role stand out: Candidates may set their schedule within the framework of the school day, offering exceptional work-life balance 35-hour workweek supporting a diverse student population Assignment anticipated for the full school year, with possible ESY (extended school year) options Opportunity to work autonomously, utilizing your expertise while managing your own caseload If you're ready to utilize your skills in a supportive school environment and enjoy schedule flexibility, apply today with your active MI SLP license documentation.
