Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a vibrant elementary school environment making a real difference in the lives of approximately 35 students receiving language and speech services. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to provide meaningful support through direct services—working with students individually or in small groups, tailored according to their unique goals and needs. In this role, you'll not only implement speech and language services, but also collaborate closely with teachers and staff to integrate support within the classroom. Your keen documentation skills will help maintain accurate records and progress notes for each student, ensuring consistent tracking of milestones and ongoing needs. Additionally, your partnership with an experienced Speech and Language Pathologist will keep you connected to best practices and provide valuable guidance on student progress and interventions.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure or certification required Experience or familiarity in school settings, especially elementary level, preferred Comfortable delivering services one-on-one and in small groups Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers and staff Proficient in maintaining detailed documentation and progress notes Team-oriented approach to supporting student success
Key Responsibilities:
Implement direct speech and language therapy to students according to their IEPs Work collaboratively with the Speech and Language Pathologist on student progress Partner with teachers and staff to support classroom needs Track student data and maintain up-to-date records Communicate effectively with professionals and, when appropriate, student families This is an excellent environment to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with passionate educators, and help students achieve their communication goals.
