Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic, contract-based Speech-Language Pathology role providing essential support to students for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is located near Thousand Oaks, CA, where you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, contributing your expertise to a supportive educational setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Experience with school-aged children, preferably in a school environment Strong assessment, IEP development, and documentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs Deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions—individually and in small groups Participate in the IEP process, supporting students, parents, and school teams from assessment to progress tracking Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments and progress notes Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff, helping to create inclusive classroom environments Foster positive communication with families regarding student progress and strategies for support This school-based contract role offers a welcoming, professional atmosphere focused on making a lasting difference with students.
