Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Enhance students' communication success in a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a rewarding contract assignment. Provide evaluation, intervention, and consultative services for students with speech, language, and communication needs. Make a meaningful impact every day by collaborating with dedicated teams and supporting student achievement in an engaging school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP license (Maryland or eligible for reciprocity) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates considered Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans Comfort working with diverse student populations across age groups
Role Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Deliver therapy services through individual, small group, and consultative models Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records Engage with teachers, families, and staff to facilitate generalization of skills into the classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions Keep current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in school-based speech therapy Enjoy the flexibility and variety that comes with contract work while making a difference in students' lives.
