This position will be a consultant position that you will lead field surveys, manage ecological restoration projects, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Your expertise will support sustainable land management practices, protect sensitive ecosystems, and contribute to the preservation of cultural resources. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on environmental conservation and cultural heritage preservation through active fieldwork, data analysis, and project coordination. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive field surveys including wetland delineation, plant identification, dendrology assessments, and invasive plant management to gather critical ecological data. Utilize GPS navigation and mapping software such as ArcGIS to document site conditions, create detailed maps, and support ecological restoration planning. Collect and analyze environmental data to evaluate habitat health, species diversity, and ecological trends. Prepare technical reports detailing survey findings, project progress, and compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Assist in environmental permitting processes by preparing documentation and ensuring adherence to legal standards. Support project management activities by coordinating field schedules, tracking project milestones, and maintaining detailed records of all activities. Collaborate with team members on research initiatives related to forestry, agriculture, or ecological restoration efforts. Requirements A bachelor's degree in natural resources, biology, ecology, archaeology, anthropology, history, historic preservation, cultural resources management, or a related discipline is required. The individual shall have at least eight (8) years of experience supporting conservation planning, natural or cultural resource management, environmental review, field assessments, regulatory compliance, or related activities. Shall meet any applicable Secretary of the Interior professional qualification standards or other project-specific regulatory requirements, as applicable. Pay:
