Job Description
BIOANALYTICAL SCIENTIST JOB SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION
The Bioanalytical Scientist conducts technical activities independently in the direction of management with a minimum of supervision and applies principles, theories and concepts in an area of Bioanalysis. This individual will work with a team to provide Bioanalytical support for non-GLP drug analysis to support drug discovery and development studies. Techniques utilized will primarily beLC-MS/MS.
This individual will support internal Bioanalysis activity, present project progress or result as appropriate.Principal responsibilities not limited to:
1. Conduct and/or participate in assigned technical tasks and activities within time and budget constraints. 2. Manage with little supervision, assigned projects that may involve multiple organizational units within department/company. 3. Maintain both formal and informal communications and relationships with collaborator/partner including responsibility for reports. 4. Achieve high technical quality in assigned projects. 5. Carry out project development assignments. Data processing, documentation of procedures and results, and report writing 6. Conduct literature searches and apply current methodology to experimental design. 7. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and local, state, and federal laws 8. Documentation of procedures, data processing, results generation, and report writing. 9. Plan and carry out appropriate self-development activities. Typically reports to a Director or function head and may be provided work direction by more senior staff or project management. The person to whom the Scientist reports will evaluate performance based upon the responsibilities assigned.Scope:
Early-career PhD-level Bioanalytical Scientist supporting non-GLP drug discovery/development bioanalysis with independent project ownership and cross-functional collaboration.Must-haves:
PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or related field; hands-on biological sample preparation/cleanup;LC-MS/MS
method development and analysis; data processing, documentation, and report writing.Hard constraints:
0 to 4 years research lab and/or industry experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a wet lab environment.Nice-to-have:

This individual should have a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology or relevant area and 0 ~ 4-year research lab and/or industrial experience. Proficient on working in the lab for biological sample clean-up and LCMS analysis. Experience on Sciex Analyst (OS) will be a plus, but not necessary. Will work closely with other staff to provide quality work for assigned projects and is capable of performing work with minimum supervision. This individual must have an excellent knowledge of wet lab sample preparation, clean-up andLC-MS/MS.
Capable of devising and implementing project specific method development ensuring all experiments are conducted in accordance with plan, and all results are checked against established criteria. They must also have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to execute independent time management and task prioritization. This individual must have a strong commitment to the improvement of the exchange of ideas; the ability to work collaboratively with a team of investigators; and experience with cross-disciplinary work and data interpretation. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Waltham, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
