71 per hour This is onsite role in Alameda, CA and 6 months Temp/contract role with potential to extend The role is to purify recombinant antibodies, bispecific antibodies and recombinant proteins using industry-standard practices to support the group's discovery and pipeline efforts. Will use AKTA systems and chromatography with antibodies.
Experience:
Ideal candidate will have a lot of hands-on experience in antibody purification as a protein scientist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purify recombinant antibodies, bispecific antibodies and recombinant proteins using industry-standard practices to support the group's discovery and pipeline efforts. Be proficient in different purification technologies (e.g. ProA, CH1, and IEX) to support antibody and protein purification using AKTA systems and HT purification processes. Provide scientific input on protein/antibody production, purification, and characterization to support the discovery and preclinical development of biotherapeutic candidates. Play a role in assessing protein structure/function and protein quality as applied towards the evaluation of biologics for developability and large-scale manufacturing. Comply with company health and safety policies and general laboratory practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline and at least 7 years of related experience or Master's degree in related discipline and 4-5 years of related experience or PhD + 0-3 years of related experience
EXPERIENCE
Experienced and knowledgeable with demonstrated proficiency and proven track record in therapeutic monoclonal antibody purification using AKTA and antibody characterization. Experience writing summaries, reports, analyzing, interpretating and presenting scientific data/results to internal collaborators. Knowledgeable in the purification of proteins and antibodies using various modes of chromatography (affinity, size-exclusion, ion-exchange and HIC). Knowledgeable in protein and antibody characterization suitable to ensure developability and large-scale production using efficient and streamlined processes.
