A Biophysicist is a scientist who uses physics to study biological systems using an interdisciplinary approach. Studies from molecules to organisms are conducted, analyzed, and interpreted for scientific evidence in proving or providing information for the greater good of medicine or science. May determine the effects of foods, drugs, serums, hormones, and other substances on tissues and vital processes of living organisms.

Job Description
- Leverage expertise in DEL selections to discover and validate molecular glues through protein capture assays, selection workflows, and biophysical assays
- Set up the lab for internal DEL selections from reagent validation through NGS sample preparation
- Collaborate with biology, chemistry and computational team members to build mechanistically driven selection strategies
- Coordinate with key stakeholders on DEL data processing and analysis
- Communicate strategy and key findings cross-functionally to drive projects from hit identification into hit-to-lead
- Evaluate new assay technologies (SPR, TR-FRET, etc.) in support of compound characterization Qualifications
- PhD/Postdoc with 3-5 years experience or BS/MS with 15-20 years experience
- Deep knowledge of DEL selections, sample preparation, and data processing
- Ability to work independently and drive multiple, simultaneous screening campaigns
- Understanding of best practices in hit identification and validation with an enthusiasm to participate beyond the hit discovery phase
- Previous biophysical or biochemical assay experience is a plus
- This role includes laboratory-based work so being on-site in New Haven, CT full-time is required
