Location:
Wilmington, Delaware What You'll Do Design and optimize recombinant protein constructs for expression and downstream applications. Perform protein expression using mammalian, insect (Sf9), and bacterial systems. Generate baculovirus, conduct mammalian cell transfections, and maintain cell lines. Develop and execute protein purification workflows using chromatography techniques including affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, and size exclusion chromatography (SEC). Purify and characterize antibodies, antibody fragments, and antibody-containing complexes. Perform analytical and quality control assessments including protein purity, aggregation, integrity, and concentration. Characterize proteins using biophysical and biochemical techniques such as SEC-HPLC, SDS-PAGE, DSF, BLI, SPR, and mass analysis. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Protein Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, drug discovery, or academic laboratory research. Hands-on expertise in recombinant protein expression, purification, and characterization. Strong experience with chromatography-based purification methods, including affinity, ion exchange, and SEC. Experience with analytical and biophysical characterization techniques such as SEC-HPLC, DSF, BLI, and SPR. Proven experience purifying and characterizing antibodies and antibody fragments. Preferred Experience Biotherapeutics or drug discovery research experience. Experience developing and optimizing protein purification workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment.
