We areseekingahighlymotivatedinvivoScientistwho will make contributions to thedesign,execution,and communication of novel multi-disciplinary research ina highly collaborativeMigraineand Paindrug discovery program. Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be toconductbasic sciencestudiesfor the pharmacological evaluation of novel compoundsand biologics,as well astoassistin thedevelopment ofapproachesfortarget engagement andtranslationalbiomarkers.

He/Shewill alsocontribute to thedevelopment of new animal modelsof human disease and will generate high-quality datareportsto support the identification and development of novel therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Contributetothein vivo(ratbehavior)evaluationof novel therapeuticsto treatmigraineand other painrelated disorders. Contributeto thedevelopment oftranslatablemodels. Effectively organizescheduletofacilitateacute and longitudinalstudies. Formulate and administer novel therapeutics to rats and mice. Generate detailed andaccuratereports of study outcomes. Adaptable, creative,andthinkquantitatively. Opportunities tolearnadditionalinvestigational techniques will be available. The successful candidate willbe responsible forbeing an active contributortoPain relatedprograms in an exciting, fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications Qualifications AssociateScientist I:
Bachelors Degree, or equivalent Education.
Associate Scientist II:
Bachelors Degree, or equivalent education, with typically 3 or more years experience orMasters Degreeor equivalent education (noadditionalexperience). Minimumrequirement isaBachelorsdegreeor similar inNeuroscience,Biologyor other relevantnaturalsciences. Ability to independently generate precise,reliableandreproducible invivodatain a timely manner. Be able to interpret and effectively communicateresultsof these studies. Hands-on experience in the laboratory working with rodents(e.g., rats)isessential.

Including administrationof compounds. A track recordinconducting studies with behaving animalsis also essential. Additionalexperience with cellular assays (e.g., qPCR, calcium flux) would be an asset. The individual must be able to readand adapt scientific literature toadvance models and programs and to form innovative approaches. Ability to contributeindependently,butalsointegrate well into ateamtowork across multiple scientific disciplines and functions. Desire to take onadditionalresponsibilities to progress career. Ability towork ina highly collaborative scientific environment withstrongcommunicationskills. Experience in drug discoverywould be desirable.

Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographiclocation,andwemayultimatelypaymore or less than the posted range. This range may bemodifiedin thefuture.
