Job Description
The Natural Products Chemistry Section in the Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry, NIDDK, NIH, Bethesda, MD, is recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to contribute to a multi-disciplinary research team. About the position Research goals include natural products and antibiotic discovery, high-resolution structural and biochemical characterization of biosynthetic proteins and transcription factors, and rigorous structure elucidation of novel natural products. Additional projects in the lab include protein engineering and carbohydrate recognition. The group brings together expertise in natural products discovery and chemistry; NMR, X-ray crystallography and structural biology; bioinformatics; and target identification. See a list of publications . The fellow will be part of a vibrant research environment within the Intramural Research Program at the National Institutes of Health. The position is fully funded and is located on the main NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, in the greater Washington, DC, area.
