Job Description
MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD Proficient with scientific databases Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph Our client in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Research Scientist who possesses a strong background in chemistry, biology, or biochemistry. The successful candidate will conduct information acquisition activities and apply the principles, theories, and concepts of chemistry and/or biology to address technical questions in Chemical Warfare (CW)/Biological Warfare (BW) defense and counter-proliferation for U.S. Government clients. Tasks will include reading and analyzing scientific literature and writing reports on various technical topics related to CW/BW defense, counter-proliferation, dual-use technologies, and medical countermeasures to CW/BW agents. The successful candidate must be familiar with open- and gray-sourced search, discovery, acquisition, exploitation, and analysis, and be comfortable utilizing various search engines and scientific databases. This is not a laboratory position. This position is located in the Chantilly, VA area in a professional office environment.
Key Qualifications:
MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field Proficient with scientific databases (e.g. SciFinder, PubMed, ScienceDirect) Ability to research and analyze scientific, medical, and patent literature Willingness to work in small groups or independently as necessary Demonstrated technical writing skills, shown by articles published in technical journals, reports, theses, etc. Experience in national security, defense, and/or intelligence communities. Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.Reference:
