Job Description
About the job About the Job Performs the daily data entry of environmental sampling and endotoxin results. Assists in maintaining the laboratory and acquiring, analyzing, and identifying environmental monitoring samples. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and shipping samples for microbial identification.
- Maintains inventories of lab supplies, stock, and order consumables.
- May perform additional laboratory tests under the direction of Microbiology Supervisor.
- Read and train on all required SOP's and review completed documentation for quality completeness and company compliance.
- Cleans QA/Microbiology laboratory work areas.
- Perform laboratory duties in a manner consistent with company policy.
- Wear gowning, sterile garments, and PPE as required by specific activities.
- Alert Manager/Supervisor when problems occur which deviate from Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient use of Excel worksheets and Word. Work must be accurate, legible, and error-free.
- Performs record keeping of test results and movement of testing samples in accordance with established procedures.

- Associate's degree in Life Sciences.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Computer literacy, including but not limited to, Windows, Office 365 Suites, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as sampling theory and factor analysis. Working Conditions
- This position requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time including majority of shifts. Walking, kneeling and bending frequently.
- Employees will be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Employees will be required to read small print.
- Employees will be required to don Gown and PPE.
- Employees will be required to handle hazardous drugs as outlines in NIOSH, including spill cleanup with proper PPE when required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
