Job Summary If you're interested in an Entry Level Biologist job, then this is the best role for you! This role supports greenhouse and controlled environment research by assisting with plant production activities and maintaining high-quality research standards. Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established protocols. Contribute to daily operations under general supervision. Job Description Grow and maintain row crops, including canola, corn, cotton, and soybeans, in greenhouse and growth chamber environments. Sow seeds, transplant seedlings, and perform daily plant care. Harvest plants and process seeds according to established procedures. Discard plant materials and maintain cleanliness of work areas. Clean equipment and greenhouse spaces as needed. Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Perform a variety of assigned tasks under general supervision. Stand for extended periods while performing daily duties. Participate in rotational weekend work as required. Skills Required Basic knowledge of plant biology and greenhouse operations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Basic problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education/Training/Certifications Associates or Bachelors degree in agronomy, biology, horticulture, or other life sciences. Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
Start Time:
8:00 AM Previous experience working in a controlled environment or commercial greenhouse is preferred. Willingness to work a rotational weekend schedule as needed. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions associated with greenhouse operations.
Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary:
$27.21 to $35.21 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors. HarveStaff LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
