Additional Information About the Role Christian Hospital has a full-time ( Nights ) Lab Associate opportunity available. Hours 2100-073; every other weekend 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred Shift Differential Pay Rotating holidays / on-call (2 shifts within a six-week period) Overview Christian Hospital has been serving St. Louis and the surrounding metro areas since 1903. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned. Responsibilities Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc. Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate. Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
