Scientist TEMP, BioEducation Program Are you passionate about science? Does solving a problem give you the ultimate sense of satisfaction? Our team develops products designed to spark imagination in students and inspire them to become tomorrow's scientists, problem solvers, and conscientious world citizens. We are currently looking for a Scientist TEMP available immediately to work under the guidance of a R D team passionate about making science accessible to high school and college students. What you'll be doing: Plan, prepare for, execute, and troubleshoot experiments that contribute to product development and sustaining projects that make science come to life for students. Analyze data that is generated. Document lab work and results in lab notebooks. Meet with the R D and Marketing teams to provide updates and discuss results, technical obstacles, and next steps.
  • Designing and executing well thought out experiments

  • Thinking creatively to solve technical challenges in innovative ways
  • Sustaining existing product lines
  • Working with a team developing products designed for use in a science classroom setting
Education:
Master's degree or PhD in a life science discipline (biotechnology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, molecular biology preferred) Experience in molecular biology laboratory techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, electrophoresis (DNA and protein), plasmid cloning, sequence analysis Experience with microbiology techniques including bacterial culturing, sterile technique Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills Ability to think critically and work independently, and take direction when given Excellent organizational and time management skills High attention to detail
