Job Description:
Centrillion is seeking innovative and resourceful Molecular Biologist - Spatial Transcriptomics to join a multidisciplinary research team developing new molecular assay for high-definition spatial sequencing translational research. Technology Background Centrillion has developed an industrial leading very high-resolution spatial sequencing chip. These chips are used for very long DNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics (every cell transcriptomics) and many other applications. The high-definition spatial sequencing chips are manufactured using state of the art fabrication facilities.
Core Responsibilities:
The spatial transcriptomic scientist is expected to be trained to become familiar with our current standard spatial sequence protocols rapidly and to become a contributor to further optimization of the existing assays and development of additional assays. The scientist is also expected to collaborate effectively internally with bioinformatics, manufacturing, engineering, and other departments as well as external academic and clinical researchers.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or related field Oncology, Neurology or Pathology experience is highly preferred Experience working with single cell or spatial sequencing is highly preferred Experience with next generation sequencing bioinformatics pipeline is preferred Demonstrated ability to plan experiments, analyze data sets, interprets results, trouble-shoot experiments, prepare reports, and present results. The selected candidate should be a self-motivated, driven, thorough and careful experimentalist with the ability to multitask, think independently and will be expected to work independently as a demonstrated problem solver. Effective communication and presentation skills are required. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a permanent basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $100,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Centrillion considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, position level and geographical location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for annual bonus and equity grants, in addition to a full range of financial, health and wellness benefits, depending on the position offered.
