PM Description:
The ideal candidate is a BS- or MS-level scientist with hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, recombinant protein expression, and strong aseptic technique. Candidates should have practical lab experience (preferably with CHO or similar systems such as HEK) and be able to quickly contribute to production pipeline work in a fast-paced environment. While automation experience is a plus, it is not required, as the team is willing to train. The manager is prioritizing candidates who can learn quickly, collaborate effectively across teams, and bring a solid foundational understanding of lab processes rather than strictly checking every technical box.
Job Details:
To perform experiments, organize data and analyze results under minimal supervision. With minimal supervision, plans, conducts or monitors experiments, records and organizes data, analyses results, generates robust and reliable data.
Responsibilities include:
Monitors or follows established protocols and performs routine productions to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision. Plans, monitors or conducts, analyzes and records experiments, and provides interpretation of data. Engages coworkers in scientific discussions. Communicates data and interpretation to work group. Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory tissue culture and automation equipment. Effectively trouble-shoots mammalian expression experimental difficulties. Contributes to internal/external reports, presentations. Coordinates and organizes resources needed to complete the full protein production process. Understands when to seek input and when to make independent judgments.
Skills:
Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Analytical Chemistry Experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment Experience with aseptic technique Experience with recombinant protein expression Experience with CHO or HEK cell cultures.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between $27.00 - 28.00 per hour . Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
